Description

The Cabbage Narrow Leaf Platter is a long earthenware serving piece from Bordallo Pinheiro’s Cabbage collection. Formed as a single green cabbage leaf, the platter uses pronounced veins, an irregular outline, and variations in the green surface to reproduce the structure of the plant in ceramic.

Its narrow proportions make it particularly useful on a table. At almost 16 inches long and only about 5 inches deep, it provides enough space for appetizers, sliced fruit, cheese, small desserts, or hors d’oeuvres without occupying the footprint of a conventional serving platter.

Bordallo Pinheiro has produced ceramic tableware in Portugal since 1884, with natural forms playing a central role in the work of founder Raphael Bordallo Pinheiro. The Cabbage collection continues that tradition with functional pieces based directly on the shapes of cabbage leaves.

The platter is made in Portugal from earthenware and is suitable for both the dishwasher and microwave. Oven use is not recommended, and the manufacturer advises against sudden temperature changes.
