We know that you will love what you ordered but if something doesn’t work out, we will gladly accept merchandise for return or exchange within 30 days from the shipping date, provided it is not opened, worn, washed, or defective. If you decide to return your purchase within the first 30 days, you will get your money back, no questions asked. If you need a bit more time to think about it and decide to return within the next 15 days (i.e., day 31 to day 45), you will be refunded with store credit (coupon) equivalent to the full amount of your purchase. Returns or exchanges are not accepted after 30 days.
We carry transit insurance to protect your purchases. If your goods are damaged upon delivery, please report the faults or damage on the delivery note before signing it and have the driver initial your remarks. If possible, please take a photo of the damage immediately following the delivery. You must notify Gessato of any faulty, damaged, or missing items within 24 hours of receipt of the goods. Failure to do so will mean that any transit policy will be voided.
If you detect a manufacturer’s fault (e.g., malfunctioning parts, incorrect assembly) with your item, you must notify us within 7 days. You will be offered a replacement item if available. If a replacement item is not available, you will be offered a similar item at a similar price or a refund. A refund is not available if a replacement item is available. Faults not reported within 7 days are not eligible for a refund.
Products that are damaged due to usage in a manner that deviates from guidelines provided by us or the manufacturer are not eligible for returns or refunds. This includes, but is not limited to, using products in environments for which they are not designed (such as indoor products being used outdoors), altering the product in any way, or using the product in a manner that results in excessive wear and tear beyond normal use. Compliance with all usage recommendations and restrictions is crucial for guarantee eligibility.
Shipping costs are non-refundable, except in cases of damaged goods reported within the first 24 hours of delivery. Expedited shipping costs are also non-refundable, as they are a service that is consumed at the time of purchase.
All large furniture items are shipped via curbside delivery, even when shipping is free. This means the item will be delivered to the nearest accessible point outside your home or building. White glove delivery—including uncrating, indoor placement, and installation—is not included unless specifically requested, quoted, and paid for in advance.
We will not accept the return of goods that are damaged by you (accidentally or otherwise) or due to natural wear and tear following delivery.

Non-returnable items at Gessato include sale items, special order items, custom-made, and made-to-order items. These items are labeled as such on our website. Orders placed for commercial use are not returnable/refundable once shipped. Purchases intended for commercial, production, or staging use—including but not limited to photo/video shoots, set design, prop styling, showroom/home staging, and event use—are not eligible for return or refund once shipped (or once delivered, if shipped). If you need items for a shoot, styling pull, or event, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm whether an exception is possible in writing; otherwise, these purchases are treated as final sale.
We reserve the right to refuse returns, limit refunds to store credit, or apply restocking fees up to 50% when return activity suggests short-term use (e.g., items assembled, mounted, installed, handled without protective films, repacked poorly, or returned with wear, odors, marks, or missing packaging/components). We may request photos and/or serial number verification before authorizing a return, and all returned merchandise must pass inspection; items that do not meet return-condition requirements may be sent back at the customer’s expense.
Orders placed using a trade discount are eligible for return within the standard return window—30 days from the shipping date—for store credit only. Refunds to the original payment method are not available for trade orders. Returns requested after the 30-day period will not be accepted. Please ensure all product specifications, dimensions, and details are reviewed prior to placing a trade order. If you have any questions, our team is here to help before your purchase is finalized.
Refunds are typically processed within 14 business days of our receiving your return. If an item is returned within the return policy period and is in less than perfect condition, we may deduct a restocking fee (20%-50% depending on the condition of the item) from your refund. Special items and high-value merchandise may be subject to variable restocking fees. Returned items purchased with a free shipping offer or promotion will have the original cost of shipping deducted from the refund amount.

If you received a gift from our website, you may return it to the same address as listed above. A gift card will be issued for the amount of the item(s) and mailed to you. If your cancellation request is received after an item has been shipped, we regret that we cannot process the cancellation. However, you may still return the item according to our return policy. Custom-made items, special orders, and items labeled as “final sale” or “non-returnable” are not eligible for cancellation or return once production has started.
