Description
The Kaweco Liliput Kolibri Fountain Pen takes its name from the hummingbird and the shifting colors of its plumage. Its cylindrical stainless steel body has an iridescent PVD coating that changes between blue, teal, purple, and magenta as the pen moves through the light.
The color distribution develops differently during the coating process, making every Kolibri individual. Some pens may show a stronger blue or green field, while others contain more purple or pink. Product photographs represent the general palette rather than the exact pen a customer will receive.
Closed, the Liliput measures only 3.82 inches long. The threaded cap screws onto the rear of the barrel for writing, extending the pen to approximately 5 inches. Its narrow 9.9 mm body makes it easy to carry in a small pen case, notebook pouch, jacket pocket, or compact bag.
A stainless steel nib receives its own rainbow finish through laser-assisted heat treatment. Choose from Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, or Extra Broad. Kaweco recommends Medium for customers who are uncertain where to begin.
The pen accepts short international ink cartridges and arrives with one Kaweco Summer Purple cartridge. A Kaweco Mini Converter Foldable, sold separately, allows the pen to be filled from an ink bottle. Compatible Liliput clips in silver, bronze, and black are also available separately.
