The Kaweco Brass Sport Ballpoint Pen combines the compact proportions of the Sport series with the substantial weight of brass. Measuring just over four inches long, it fits easily into a pocket, notebook case, or small desk organizer without feeling insubstantial in the hand.
A push button operates Kaweco’s heart-curve mechanism, engineered for a controlled action without the sharp clicking sound of many retractable pens. The 36.4-gram body supplies noticeable weight against the paper, reducing the need to press down firmly while writing. Customers who prefer very light pens should note that this model is intentionally heavy for its size.
Handling gradually changes the surface of the brass. It will darken, pick up marks, and develop an individual patina according to how frequently the pen is used and stored. The changing finish is part of the design; the pen will not retain the brighter appearance of unused brass.
Silver-tone details complete the body, including the Kaweco logo cap. A removable clip is not included, but compatible Sport clips can be purchased separately for carrying the pen on a pocket or notebook.
The pen arrives with a blue 1.0 mm D1 ballpoint refill. The refill meets the ISO 12757-2 document standard and can be replaced with widely available D1-format refills. Kaweco offers black and blue refills in several line widths, along with additional specialty options.
