Description
The Kaweco Art Sport Terrazzo Fountain Pen is made from cast acrylic patterned with multicolored fragments against a cream-colored base. The material recalls traditional terrazzo flooring, but the pattern runs through the pen rather than being printed onto its surface. Each acrylic rod is cast individually, CNC-machined into the compact Sport form, and polished by hand. The distribution, shape, and density of the colors therefore differ from pen to pen.
Closed, the pen measures only 4.2 inches long. The screw-on cap can be placed on the back of the barrel for writing, extending the pen to approximately 5 inches. Its acrylic construction keeps the weight to 13 grams, while the permanently attached gold-plated clip secures it to a notebook, pocket, or pen loop.
Choose from five gold-plated steel nib sizes, ranging from Extra Fine to Extra Broad. Kaweco recommends Medium for customers who are unsure where to begin. The threaded nib unit can also be replaced later, allowing the pen to be adapted to a different writing style without replacing the complete instrument.
Art Sport accepts short international ink cartridges. It can also be used with bottled fountain pen ink by adding a Kaweco Mini Converter, sold separately. One blue ink cartridge is included, and the pen arrives in a Kaweco tin box.
