The Kaweco Liliput Fireblue Ballpoint Pen is made from stainless steel that is individually blued by hand. Differences in temperature during the process produce shifting blue and brown tones across the surface, giving every pen a different pattern. The photographs show the general appearance of the finish rather than the exact pen a customer will receive.
Measuring less than four inches long and just 0.39 inches in diameter, Liliput fits easily into a small pen case, notebook pouch, jacket pocket, or compact desk organizer. Its stainless steel body weighs 23 grams, giving the pen a noticeable metal feel without making it cumbersome for everyday writing.
A heart-curve push mechanism extends and retracts the writing tip with a controlled, quiet action. The pen arrives with a blue 1.0 mm D1 ballpoint refill that meets the ISO 12757-2 document standard. Compatible replacements are available in blue and black with fine, medium, and broad line widths, along with selected specialty options.
The Fireblue surface may continue to change through handling and use. Variations in color, darker areas, and gradual shifts in the finish are expected characteristics of the hand-blued steel rather than manufacturing defects.
