The Kaweco Liliput Stainless Steel Fountain Pen compresses a refillable writing instrument into a cylindrical body measuring only 3.82 inches when closed. Remove the threaded cap and screw it onto the rear of the barrel to extend the pen to approximately 4.96 inches for writing.
The stainless steel body is sturdy, resistant, and deliberately substantial for its size. At 23.2 grams, it has a noticeable metal weight while retaining the Liliput’s narrow 9.9 mm diameter. It fits easily into a small pen case, notebook pouch, jacket pocket, or compact travel kit.
Unlike the brass and copper versions, the stainless steel model is not intended to develop a dark patina. Its silver surface remains comparatively stable through regular use, making it a practical choice for customers who prefer the weight of metal without a dramatically changing finish.
Choose from five German-made stainless steel nib sizes: Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, or Extra Broad. Kaweco recommends Medium for customers who are unsure where to begin. The threaded 060 nib unit can be replaced later, allowing the writing width or nib finish to be changed without replacing the complete pen.
The Liliput accepts short international ink cartridges and comes with one blue cartridge. A Kaweco Mini Converter Foldable, sold separately, allows the pen to be filled from a bottle of fountain pen ink.
