Description
Designed by Antoni Arola in 2025, the Shiro 17 Table Lamp adapts a lighting idea he first explored for outdoor settings in 1998. The compact indoor model places a replaceable light source inside a square metal structure formed from evenly spaced slats.
A white translucent diffuser surrounds the bulb, preventing a direct view of the light source. The outer slats break up the illumination as it leaves the lamp, producing soft bands of light across the table and nearby surfaces. The result is intended for ambient and accent lighting rather than bright task illumination.
At 6.7 inches square and 6.8 inches high, Shiro 17 fits easily on a bedside table, bookshelf, low side table, or console. Its 5.5-pound weight gives the small lamp a stable base, while the 88.6-inch cord provides flexibility when the nearest outlet is not directly behind the furniture.
The lamp includes a dimmer, but the US version does not include a bulb. Use one dimmable E26 LED bulb. Santa & Cole’s current specification recommends a 3.4W bulb with a warm 2700K color temperature and lists an output of 129 lumens. A dimmable bulb is required for the included control to function correctly.
This is the corded indoor model. It is rated IP20 and approved only for dry interior locations. It should not be confused with the rechargeable Shiro 17 Batería or the weather-resistant outdoor versions.
