Description
A more playful take on ADADA’s signature teddy bear, Jermaine Multicolor combines the character’s wonderfully lanky proportions with an unexpected patchwork of colors. The contrasting sections turn the familiar teddy bear into something closer to a small textile design object—graphic enough for a contemporary room, but still made for children to carry, squeeze, and sleep beside.
Jermaine measures 16.5 inches from head to toe and is made from a soft GOTS-certified fabric composed of 80% cotton and 20% polyester. His face and paws are embroidered by hand, giving him an expressive personality without the use of hard plastic features. A soft polyester filling keeps the long body comfortable and easy to hug.
The multicolor construction makes this version especially distinctive. Rather than treating color as decoration added to a conventional bear, ADADA uses it to emphasize Jermaine’s simplified form, from his rounded ears and elongated arms to his gently oversized feet. He works equally well as a favorite stuffed companion, a baby gift, or an amusing presence sitting on a chair or nursery shelf.
Jermaine also comes with an appropriately eccentric biography. Born in Berlin’s Grunewald forest, he is calm, thoughtful, remarkably good at detecting danger, and apparently capable of growling in fifteen languages. His ultimate ambition is to travel the world as an ambassador for teddy bears.
Designed and developed in France, Jermaine is suitable from birth and tested to European EN71 and American CPSIA toy-safety standards.
