Description

Designed by Miguel Milá in 1964, the M64 received the Gold Delta the same year. Max Bill chaired the award jury and strongly supported the design, leading Milá to refer to it for a time as the Max Bill lamp. Santa & Cole later returned the pendant to production with an integrated LED system fitted into the original compact form.

The curved metal shade measures 8.6 inches in diameter and 6.3 inches high. A translucent diffuser screens the LED module, while the shade directs warm light onto the surface below. Its small scale works well as a single pendant over a bedside table or compact dining surface, as well as in a row above a kitchen island, long table, bar, or reception counter.

Choose Polished Aluminum or Polished Brass for a reflective metal surface. The painted aluminum versions have a glossy exterior and matte white interior and come in Off White, Soft Stone, Deep Black, Pure Red, Reddish Orange, Cream Yellow, British Racing Green, and Ultramarine Blue. Santa & Cole developed this expanded color palette with Barcelona-based colorist Claudia Valsells in 2023.

The included 7.7W LED module provides warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90. Its rated module output is 752 lumens, although the amount of light delivered through the fixture varies slightly according to the shade material.

Dimming requires a compatible external 1–10V control and the appropriate control wiring. The dimmer is not included, so the intended system should be reviewed with the electrician before installation. M64 is approved for indoor, dry-location use only.
