Description
The ARV Lounge Chair is a Danish lounge chair by David Thulstrup for Brdr. Krüger. It builds on the ARV collection originally developed for Noma in Copenhagen, translating the dining chair’s branch-like oak joinery into a lower, wider form for relaxed seating.
The chair has a solid oak frame with curved arms, open side rails, and smooth transitions between the rear legs, armrests, and back. Instead of sharp breaks, the frame moves in a continuous line, giving the chair its sculptural profile while keeping the structure visually light.
The seat and back are handwoven in natural paper cord. The cord adds texture, support, and breathability, and it will develop a natural patina with use. This makes the chair a good choice for living rooms, reading areas, bedrooms, low-seat office spaces, hospitality lounges, and interiors where a lounge chair should feel crafted but not overbuilt.
Three oak finishes are available. White-oiled oak is the palest option and works well in lighter interiors. Oiled oak gives the chair a warmer natural oak tone. Oiled fumed oak is darker and deeper; the fuming process reacts with the oak’s natural tannins, so natural tonal variation may occur from piece to piece.
