Description
The Ferdinand Lounge Chair is a Danish lounge chair by OEO Studio for Brdr. Krüger. It was developed through the first collaboration between the Copenhagen design studio and the Danish furniture maker, bringing together contemporary form, solid oak craftsmanship, and Brdr. Krüger’s long wood-turning tradition.
The chair’s main feature is the way the backrest and frame are joined into one continuous structure. The rounded oak frame wraps around the upholstered seat and back, giving the chair a strong outline from every angle without making it bulky. It is low, compact, and generous enough for lounge seating, with a seat height of 16.3″ and a broad upholstered seat.
Ferdinand works well in living rooms, reading areas, bedrooms, hotel lounges, reception spaces, and other interiors where a lounge chair needs to feel substantial but not oversized. The frame is available in Oiled Oak or Oiled Fumed Oak. Oiled Oak gives the chair a lighter Danish wood tone; Oiled Fumed Oak adds a darker, warmer expression.
The upholstery options range from Kvadrat Moss Cream 0019 fabric to Spectrum and Savanne semi-aniline leathers. Choose the Moss fabric for a softer textile surface, or select one of the leather options for a more structured look with natural patina potential. Oyster and Almond are lighter leather choices, Brandy and Cinnamon bring warmer brown tones, and Savanne Black gives the chair the strongest graphic contrast.
The Ferdinand Lounge Chair is made to order in Denmark. Because frame finish and upholstery change the character of the chair significantly, customers should review finish images or request swatches before finalizing the order.
