Description
The ARV Dining Armchair is a Danish oak armchair by David Thulstrup for Brdr. Krüger. Originally designed for Noma in Copenhagen, the chair brings restaurant-level durability into a refined dining chair for homes, hospitality interiors, and meeting spaces.
The frame is made from oak and shaped around a continuous branch-like structure. The rear leg curves upward into the backrest and armrest, creating a smooth connection between the main structural parts. This detail gives the chair its recognizable profile and keeps the construction visually light without hiding the joinery.
The chair comes in three oak finishes: White-Oiled Oak, Oiled Oak, and Oiled Fumed Oak. White-Oiled Oak has the palest expression. Oiled Oak gives a warmer natural oak tone. Oiled Fumed Oak is deeper and darker, with more visual contrast against the woven paper cord.
Two seat and back configurations are available. Paper Cord Seat + Woven Back gives the chair a fully tactile woven surface across both contact points. Paper Cord Seat + Solid Wood Back keeps the woven seat but uses a solid wood backrest for a cleaner, more wood-forward look.
The ARV Dining Armchair is useful around dining tables, in restaurants, meeting rooms, kitchens, and refined workspaces. The high armrests add comfort, but they also make table clearance important. The arm height is approximately 25.6″, so customers should confirm that the chair can slide under their table before ordering.
