Description
Designed by Copenhagen architect David Thulstrup, the ARV Dining Chair was developed with Brdr. Krüger for the interiors of Noma restaurant in 2018. The collection combines the workshop’s long experience with Danish furniture making and a form developed specifically for contemporary dining.
This listing is for the armless version of the chair. Its oak frame is shaped around a distinctive branching joint that connects the rear legs and backrest. The construction gives the chair its main visual character while keeping the overall profile compact enough for placing several chairs around a dining table.
Every configuration has a handwoven seat made from natural paper cord. The backrest is available in two versions. The woven paper cord backrest carries the same texture across both the seat and back, while the solid oak backrest places greater emphasis on the chair’s curved woodwork.
Three oak finishes are available. White-oiled oak has the lightest appearance. Oiled oak brings out the wood’s natural warmth and grain, while oiled fumed oak provides a deeper, darker tone. Because oak is a natural material, grain pattern and color will vary slightly from chair to chair.
