Transform tea serving into an even more special ritual with the Japanese Koizumi Chanoma Teapot. Designed by Koji Takahashi, this collection has received a Good Design Award. Minimalist and elegant as well as beautifully crafted, each Chanoma Teapot is skillfully made by hand by experienced craftspeople. Using Tokoname clay and traditional techniques, the artisans infuse every teapot with the rich tea and pottery culture of Japan. The tactile surface is unglazed and matte, but unlike classic clay products, this teapot stands out with its intense black finish.
Keeping true to traditional kyusu teapots, the Chanoma teapots feature a larger side handle with a tapered shape. Ergonomic and comfortable to hold, the handle provides an easy way to pour tea into cups through the smaller spout. An integrated strainer ensures that all the loose leaves remain in the teapot. On top, the lid with a rounded handle keeps the tea hot for longer. Pair this black Chanoma teapot with the matching cups from the same collection to create a complete set.
