Description
The Cloudy Butterflies Cake Stand turns a serving piece into part of the occasion. Designed by Claudia Schiffer for Bordallo Pinheiro, it takes inspiration from butterflies and the English countryside, interpreted through the Portuguese ceramic maker’s richly modeled earthenware.
The broad cream-colored plate resembles an oversized flower, with softly scalloped petals and a hand-painted butterfly resting at one edge. A pedestal base raises cakes, tarts, pastries, or a pile of macarons above the rest of the table while leaving the decoration visible even when the stand is in use.
At 15.4 inches in diameter, it is generously sized for a full cake and substantial enough to work as a centerpiece between celebrations. Use it for birthdays and desserts, bring it out for afternoon tea, or leave it on a dining table filled with fruit when there is no cake in sight.
Made in Portugal from earthenware. Dishwasher safe; avoid abrupt temperature changes and conventional oven use.
