Description
Designed by Spanish industrial designer André Ricard, the Tatu Alta Floor Lamp is the 2021 floor-height version of his original Tatu lamp from 1972. Ricard developed the first design after observing how a focused aircraft reading light allowed one passenger to read without disturbing the person seated beside them.
The lamp’s glossy metal and ABS plastic body is divided into three articulated sections that rotate independently. These adjustments direct the light toward a book, chair, desk, or work surface. A movable lens changes the beam angle from a concentrated 30 degrees to a broader 50 degrees.
Tatu Alta uses an integrated 6W LED that produces 171 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90. The intensity can be adjusted continuously from 0 to 100 percent. Its relatively focused output makes it especially useful beside an armchair, sofa, or bed rather than as the main source of room lighting.
Choose between glossy white and glossy red. The LED module and dimmer are included, so no separate bulb is required. Tatu Alta is made in Spain and intended exclusively for indoor, dry-location use.
