Description
Designed by Miguel Milá in 1961, the Asa Table Lamp was included in one of the designer’s first collections for TRAMO, the company he established to manufacture his early work. Santa & Cole now produces the lamp in two finishes: matte white or black.
A continuous metal tube forms the base, upright frame, and handle-like top. Suspended within the structure, a white translucent methacrylate shade softens the light. A small metal pull button above the shade operates the lamp, becoming a visible and functional part of the design.
At 16.1 inches high with a 5.9-inch diameter, Asa fits comfortably on a nightstand, console, side table, or bookshelf. Its upper frame makes the lamp easy to reposition, although this is a corded lamp and not a rechargeable model.
The American version uses one E26 bulb, which is not included. Santa & Cole recommends a 3.4W, 470-lumen, 2700K LED bulb. The lamp is rated for indoor, dry-location use only.
