Designed by New York-based design firm Chen Chen & Kai Williams, the Areaware Stacking Planter is as eye-catching as it is ingenious. It boasts a circular shape that references power lines’ high voltage ceramic insulators. The bottom ring doubles as a saucer, remaining inconspicuous until the user lifts out the planter to reveal the separate section. Made from dolomite, this chrome planter boasts a lustrous electronic plating that reflects the surroundings like a mirror. This planter is part of a limited-edition artist series and features the designers’ signature, added on the bottom.

NYC-based design studio Chen Chen & Kai Williams was established in 2011.
