Description
The Weltevree Serpentine is a freestanding outdoor shower designed by Belgian designer Tom de Vrieze. Made entirely from high quality stainless stee, it gives you a simple way to add a shower to a garden, pool area, patio, campsite, cabin, or camper setup without installing a fixed plumbing fixture.
Setup is straightforward. Assemble the three shower sections with the supplied Teflon tape, connect a standard garden hose at the base, place the curved foot flat on the ground, and turn on the tap. No pressure pump is required. If you have a suitable mixer tap, the Serpentine can also be connected to a warm-water source through a garden hose.
The stainless steel construction is one of the main reasons this shower works outdoors. It is better suited to wet use than ordinary painted steel, while keeping the structure slim, clean, and easy to maintain. Like all outdoor metal products, it still benefits from regular cleaning and winter care: rinse it after cleaning, keep water out during frost, and store it indoors during winter for a longer life.
At only 5 kg, the Serpentine is light enough to move without help. Use it by the pool one day, on the lawn the next, or near a camper or outdoor kitchen when you need a quick rinse. The curved base gives the shower a stable stance on flat ground, so it does not need to be permanently fixed down for normal use.
The showerhead is also more considered than it first appears. From the outside it looks like a simple straight tube, but the internal construction divides the water into narrower jets to create a familiar shower spray. It is useful after swimming, gardening, biking, beach days, sauna sessions, and summer afternoons outside.
For gifting, this is a strong choice for outdoor lovers, pool owners, campers, cabin owners, and camper or RV people who enjoy practical gear that actually gets used. It is functional, light, easy to reposition, and a lot more handsome than the usual plastic camping shower.
