Description
Nature, geometry, and traditional knitting provided the sources of inspiration for the Knit-Wit collection. Created by Copenhagen-based design practice Iskos Berlin for Danish brand Made by Hand, this lighting series offers a modern take on the art of hand-knitting. Like other products from the collection, the Made by Hand Knit-Wit Oval Pendant Lamp 76 features a semi-transparent mesh fabric manufactured with a CNC-controlled technique. The 3D knitted textile has a gorgeous tactility, giving warmth to the design. Turning the light on reveals the texture of the material in greater detail while also unveiling the light source at the center of the shade. This pendant lamp has an oval silhouette and the series’ signature steel frame that provides support to the stretched polyester fabric. Two powder-coated aluminum rings and a fabric-covered cord complete the design.
