Karman Don't Touch, Floor Lamp - Gessato Design Store

Description

With its tongue in cheek name, the Don’t Touch lighting series actually invites the user to come closer and feel the texture of the material. Designed by Matteo Ugolini for Karman, this collection features a rounded base and a series of white strands arranged in concentric circles to create a protective barrier. At the center, the LED lights illuminate with a bright glow. While the base is made from matte gray techno-polymer, the strands are made from white PVC. The user can let the long strands sit vertically, or bring them together at the top for a more organic look. The Don’t Touch series comprises lighting for indoor or outdoor areas, with different LED lights.

Matteo Ugolini was born in Pesaro, Italy. He gratuated at Centro Sperimentale Design of Ancona. Upon graduation, he started collaborating with Studio Telemaco, developing furniture and accessories for a variety of design/architectural projects.
