Description
Designed by Copenhagen-based OEO Studio in 2018, the Jari Round Dining Table grew out of a furniture collection created for INUA restaurant in Tokyo. “Jari” is the Japanese word for pebbles, and the connection is visible in the tabletop: rather than tracing a strict geometric circle, it has a softened outline derived from stones shaped by water.
The 47.2-inch tabletop is made from solid oak and measures 1.18 inches thick. A deep, double-rounded edge gives it a substantial profile without leaving a hard corner around the perimeter. Four tapered oak legs narrow toward the floor, opening the space beneath the table and providing 26.4 inches of clearance. The tabletop is mounted using traditional joinery, keeping visible hardware out of the design.
Its round format makes the table practical for everyday meals, breakfast areas, and dining rooms where a long rectangular table would interrupt circulation. It also keeps each place oriented toward the center, supporting conversation without requiring a large footprint.
Choose Oiled Oak for a lighter natural wood tone or Oiled Fumed Oak for a deeper brown finish. Both versions are protected with natural wax-oil and will develop variation and patina through use. Wipe spills promptly with a well-wrung cloth, dry the surface immediately, and avoid placing the table close to strong heat or prolonged direct sunlight. Periodic re-oiling is required to maintain the finish.
