Description
The Iris clock successfully proves that a simple timepiece can be truly beautiful. Designed by Shinichi Sumikawa, this table clock fascinates with its creative use of transparent and reflective materials. The clock’s name references Iris, the goddess of the rainbow in Greek mythology. Mirror surfaces create the illusion of depth while also hiding the clock’s mechanism. Reflective surfaces enhance the vibrancy of the color on the base. The hands seem suspended in space as they move to show the current time. A sweep second hand glides in a fluid motion, in complete silence. This desk clock is made of steel, acrylic, and ABS resin.
