Description
The HB Lounge Chair is a Danish lounge chair by Hans Bølling for Brdr. Krüger. It is part of the HB Collection, a later furniture series developed by Bølling with the Danish maker and connected to the design language of his 1963 Tray Table.
The chair uses a solid hardwood frame with rounded members, exposed joinery, and a low, reclined sitting position. The structure is open and architectural, but the seat and back cushions give the chair a more relaxed use: reading, conversation, lounge seating, or pairing with the matching HB Stool.
The frame comes in four finishes: Oiled Oak, Oiled Fumed Oak, White-Oiled Maple, and Oiled Cherry. Oiled Oak is the lightest and most familiar Danish wood expression. Oiled Fumed Oak is darker and warmer. White-Oiled Maple has a pale, clean character. Oiled Cherry brings a red-brown tone that will deepen with age and light.
For upholstery, choose Canvas for a textile seat and back, or Spectrum Brandy Leather for a warmer leather version. Canvas gives the chair a softer fabric look and works well in living rooms, bedrooms, libraries, and hospitality spaces. Spectrum Brandy Leather adds more patina potential and a richer contrast against the wood frame.
The HB Lounge Chair is made to order in Denmark. Because the frame, wood finish, and upholstery all affect the final expression, it should be treated as a considered furniture purchase rather than a quick-stock lounge chair. Confirm current lead time, cancellation terms, and return policy before ordering.
