Iconic Danish designer Poul Cadovius created the dk3 Cadovius Butterfly Shelf® in 1958 by mistake as he worked on the System Ultra® system and experimented with bending steel plates. While originally launched in a colored steel version, the design made its triumphant return in 2015 as a solid wood product.
