Phaidon is a leading international publisher of creative arts books. Founded in 1923 in Vienna, the company started out as a publisher of literature, history, and philosophy. In the 1930s, Phaidon began publishing art books and in 1951 it introduced the first Phaidon books with color illustrations. Today, the company has a collection of over 1,500 titles in print, selling books in over 100 countries.
