A minimalist twist on the traditional cuckoo clock. Designer Yuichi Nara created this playful timepiece for Lemnos with a simple house silhouette and refined details. Made of plywood, the Birdhouse Clock features a natural or a white finish. Metal hands add an industrial accent to the dial, while the understated font gives more clarity to the hour markers. At the top, a cuckoo peeks out from a circular window. This clock tells the time accompanied by the sounds of a brook, but the automatic light sensor ensures that it will remain silent during the night. The two-step volume control offers a convenient solution to adjust the sounds of the Birdhouse Clock.

Born in 1977 in Tokyo, Yuichi Nara graduated with a degree in Architecture from the Yokohama National University in 1999. He moved to Italy the following year and started working as a designer in Venice, first in a glass making studio and then in an architecture practice.
