Description

The Interform Kasten is a double sided rectangular wall clock designed for spaces where time needs to be visible from more than one direction. It has a dial on both the front and back, so it works well in hallways, open kitchen and dining areas, entries, offices, shops, and salon interiors.

Kasten’s rectangular body gives it a different character from the usual round station clock. The acacia wood frame has a slim box shape with visible grain, while the dial keeps the layout clean: hour markers only, no numerals, and a wood hour hand that connects the face back to the frame. The result is practical from a distance and visually lighter than a metal double-face clock.

The design can be used in several ways. Mount it horizontally for a low, wide profile, mount it vertically where wall space is narrow, or place it on a stable surface as a freestanding clock. The double-sided construction makes it useful between rooms or along circulation paths, while the rectangular form makes it easy to place on a console, shelf, reception counter, or desk.

Kasten uses two sweep movements, one for each side, to reduce the usual ticking noise of a step movement. Each side requires its own AA battery. Batteries are not included, and rechargeable batteries are not supported.

Two wall-mount wood screws are included. For wall installation, mount only to a thick wooden wall, wood post, or concrete surface that can support the required load. Do not install it on drywall or plasterboard alone, thin wood walls, or ceilings.
