Description
Designed by Danish architect David Thulstrup, the ARV Plus Oval Dining Table extends the ARV collection originally developed with Brdr. Krüger for Noma in Copenhagen. The model offered here is the 126.2-inch rounded-end version, with straight sides and broad elliptical ends that remove sharp corners from a table of substantial scale.
The table is handmade in Denmark from solid white oak. Its 1.06-inch-thick top meets the supporting structure through shaped wooden joints that continue into slender legs. A 28.1-inch clearance beneath the top allows dining armchairs, including the ARV Dining Armchair, to slide underneath.
Brdr. Krüger’s seating plan assigns this specific size and configuration to eight diners. The generous spacing works well with substantial dining chairs and also makes the table practical for conference rooms, studios, and other meeting spaces where each person requires more surface area.
Three oak treatments are available. White-Oiled Oak has the lightest appearance. Oiled Oak brings out the wood’s warmer natural tones, while Oiled Fumed Oak provides a darker brown color. The fumed version is darkened through a traditional reaction with the oak’s tannins rather than a surface dye, so grain and color will vary from table to table.
