Description
Designed by Miguel Milá in 1964, the Americana Table Lamp reworks the familiar swing-arm lamp with a simpler mechanism. A single right-angled arm pivots from the top of the vertical stem, allowing the white linen shade to move toward or away from you while the wide metal base stays in place.
That movement makes Americana particularly useful for reading and working. Place it on a desk, side table, or bedside table and rotate the arm when you need the light closer, then move it back when softer ambient illumination is enough. The satin nickel structure and fabric shade also give the lamp a warmer character than a conventional all-metal task light.
The lamp measures 21.3 inches high, with an 18.1-inch maximum horizontal reach. The US version uses an E26 socket and requires a bulb, sold separately. Santa & Cole currently recommends a 3.4W LED producing 470 lumens at 2700K. For dry indoor locations only.
