Description
The Ambai Yukihira Stainless Steel Pot takes one of the most familiar pieces of Japanese cookware and gives it a beautifully resolved contemporary form. Designed by Makoto Koizumi, the pot pairs a smooth stainless steel body with a warm wooden handle, creating a piece that feels just as good in the hand as it looks on the stove.
Light enough for everyday cooking, the Yukihira Pot is ideal for soups, noodles, sauces, vegetables, and small portions. Measurement markings inside the pot make it easy to keep track of liquids, while the pouring spouts on both sides work comfortably for right- and left-handed cooks. Its simple shape also makes it the kind of saucepan that quickly becomes the one you reach for first.
This version is paired with Ambai’s Stainless Steel Multilid, a universal lid designed to work across multiple Yukihira Pot sizes. Made from brushed stainless steel with a teak wood knob, its stepped profile creates a secure fit while replacing the need for several separate lids. A very Japanese solution: one well-designed object doing several jobs remarkably well.
