Temporaneo (Temporary) explores the concept of time in an ingenious way. Created by Italian studio Gumdesign, this perpetual calendar takes inspiration from the past to bring more meaning to the present. The stone and brass objects come together in sculptural forms that resemble ancient architecture. And like old temples and buildings – as time passes – some of these structures fall apart while others remain standing. The set comprises solid stone and brass triangular elements that combine in various ways. The user can mark the passage of the months by subtracting or adding pieces to the sculptural compositions.
