Description
First made in the late 1960s, the STOFF Nagel candle holder has always been more than a place for candles. Architect Werner Stoff designed it for Hans Nagel as a modular piece—each unit resting on three legs, each ready to connect with another.
The idea is simple but open-ended: stack them high, spread them across a dining table, or keep one alone on a shelf. Over time, the arrangement becomes personal, shaped by how you choose to build.
Today the holder comes in multiple finishes—polished chrome, brushed metal, solid brass, and others—each bringing a slightly different tone. Some shine like mirrors, others soften into a matte glow, and brass will even develop a patina as it ages.
At just over 4″ (10 cm) tall, it works with taper candles or stands as a sculptural object on its own.
