Looks compact, but the wide U-shaped seat makes it a stool you can actually linger on.

Designed by Herman Studio for Form & Refine, the Sonder stool takes its name from the idea of noticing others’ experiences—here translated into a seat that balances strength with comfort. The softly curved oak veneer feels calm under hand, set against the sturdier geometry of square legs and crossbars.

At just 7.4 lb, it moves easily from dining table to hallway. The 18.1″ seat height works as a pull-up stool or a quick side table, and in time, the oiled oak will develop a deeper patina. Joints are kept clean and modern, engineered to withstand daily knocks in both home and commercial spaces.
