Based on the personal clock designs launched in 1977, the Riki Steel Clock offers a new take on the creative design. The clock explores the concept of a personal timepiece with a smaller dial instead of a more compact case. Scaled down, the numerals complement longer markers. While the hour hand has a standard size, the minute and second hand extend to reach the edge of the dial. A black and white palette enhances readability further. This clock is made of steel, ABS resin, and glass. It features a sweep second hand that moves smoothly around the dial and remains silent at all times. The Riki Steel Clock comes in several versions, each of them perfect for kitchens, living rooms, hallways, or offices.

Riki Watanabe

Riki Watanabe (1911–2013) was a celebrated industrial designer and a leading figure of Japanese modernism. Born in Tokyo, he completed studies in woodworking in 1936, after which he worked as an assistant professor at Tokyo University.
