In Reimagining Design, author Kevin Bethune explores the way leveraging design can cultivate innovation and provide a new perspective on problem-solving. At the same time, the author describes his experience as a Black professional navigating through corporate America. After starting out as an engineer at Westinghouse, he worked at Nike and currently works as a design and innovation consultant. A personal book, Reimagining Design depicts the author’s journey, with diversity, inclusion, and equity featured as some of the main themes. Additionally, it provides a framework for enabling the design transformation that leads to multidisciplinary team collaboration and thus the building of a solid foundation for innovation. Published by the MIT Press, Reimagining Design features a foreword John Maeda.
