Description
The Ocean Square Dining Table, a key member of the sustainable Ocean Collection, is a contemporary interpretation of Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel’s 1955 design, now crafted using eco-friendly materials. Available as a two-seater or four-seater, this Danish table features a lightweight slatted design and a durable gunmetal-colored steel frame, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
The table is made using 960 grams of ocean plastic waste, mainly obtained from discarded fishing nets on Denmark’s west coast, and recycled hard plastic. It comes in two colors to choose from: black or sand. This innovative approach to material usage not only supports UN Sustainable Development Goals 14, 12, and 17, but also earned the Ocean Collection a prestigious 2019 Wallpaper Design Award. Experience environmentally-conscious dining while honoring the timeless design of the original wood-slatted table, now reimagined with a focus on sustainability and eco-friendly materials.
