Designed by Kazushige Miyake, the NAGOMI bent plywood lounge chair is a study in restraint. Four curved plywood sections come together in a structure that feels both effortless and intentional. The sloped seat (17″ to 15″) and subtly angled backrest create a comfortable sit without unnecessary padding or bulk. The laminated FSC-certified wood keeps the natural grain visible, giving each chair a unique character. Sourced and produced within a 90km radius in Europe, it’s a responsible, well-executed design that doesn’t try too hard—just solid materials, smart proportions, and a form that makes sense.
