Description
Earth Wall Clock is the wall version of Takenobu Igarashi’s Earth Clock, developed from his 1987 Ball Clock for OUN and brought forward again in 2019. It keeps the same idea: a clock that looks like a simple object on the wall, but feels unusually considered once you spend time with it.
The white dial is mostly open, with fine minute marks around the edge and a small set of numerals placed lightly on the face. The long hands give the clock its character—they sit slightly off the usual “instrument” look and feel more like moving lines inside a circle. In the black frame version, the outline is sharper and the face reads cleaner from across the room, which makes it a good fit for kitchens, studios, and workspaces where you want the time visible but you don’t want the wall to get busy.
