Inspired by a tree’s age rings, the Miki Urushi clock features a solid wood case that refines the beauty of the natural material. Designed by Yuichi Nara, this Lemnos clock is simple and elegant. Made of zelkova wood, the clock features a lacquer finish. As it is completed using the traditional Japanese “mehajiki” technique, the lacquer coating has a lustrous surface. However, the paint finish still allows the beauty of the wood grain to shine through. This clock has a sweep second hand and a black and white palette for the dial that enhances readability. Use the Miki Urushi as a wall clock or as a table clock. Stand included. The natural oil finish version of this design is also available, along with other clocks from the Lemnos collection.

Born in 1977 in Tokyo, Yuichi Nara graduated with a degree in Architecture from the Yokohama National University in 1999. He moved to Italy the following year and started working as a designer in Venice, first in a glass making studio and then in an architecture practice.
