Ferm Living’s Dou Table Lamp puts basket weaving to work after dark. The Copenhagen-based design brand covers a broad, flared shade and tapering base in hand-braided rattan, supported by an iron structure underneath. Small gaps in the weave let points of light show through, bringing the braided surface into focus when the lamp is on.
Standing just under sixteen inches tall, this natural rattan table lamp works beside a bed, on a living-room side table, or at one end of a console. The shade extends well beyond the slender base, giving the lamp its broad-brimmed outline. Natural differences in the handwork mean the color and shape can vary slightly from piece to piece.
An eight-and-a-half-foot fabric cord gives you some flexibility when the outlet is farther away, with an on/off switch along the cord. The lamp includes its base, shade, and cord; add one E12 LED bulb, up to 12 watts, sold separately. This is the 110–120V US version, intended for indoor use.
