Can one table lamp soften a room and hold a stem of eucalyptus? Yes — Madre’s hand-blown glass body hides a heat-proof vase in its hollow crown while an internal LED fills the orb with a warm, 2700 K glow.
Designer Andrea Anastasio looked to ancient fertility vessels when shaping this 14-inch silhouette for Foscarini. A precision-cut opening pierces the satin-etched glass, letting light pool inside and spill gently onto surrounding surfaces; with the lamp off, the aperture still captures and reflects ambient light like a quiet moon.
The hollow at the top nests a borosilicate insert for dried branches or a few fresh stems, turning Madre into a luminous centerpiece on a dining table or a meditative accent on a low cabinet. An in-line dimmer (standard wall dimmer–ready) shifts the built-in 17 W LED from nightlight hush to 1 500-lumen radiance without glare.
Place Madre solo to anchor a console, pair two on a sideboard for sculptural symmetry, or let it glow on a bedroom dresser—day or night, the vessel-lamp hybrid invites a moment of calm and a touch of nature indoors.
