Sergio Herman (1970) is a Dutch chef, entrepreneur, and designer. Born in the province of Zeeland, the Netherlands, he started his career in his family’s restaurant, Oud Sluis. He received three Michelin stars by 2005 and was named Chef of the Year twice by GaultMillau. In 2013, he closed the restaurant at the height of its success in order to focus on other culinary projects. Sergio Herman currently owns four restaurants. He has also founded Frites Atelier and published several cookbooks. As a designer, he has collaborated with Serax to create tableware and glassware, including a cast iron teapot inspired by Japanese minimalism.
