Made by Mater, the Conscious Chair Coffee Waste Black recreates the 3162 chair designed in 1958 by renowned furniture designer Børge Mogensen and architect Esben Klint. Keeping the original silhouette, this eco chair features an environmentally conscious blend of materials. Crafted from FSC-certified beech wood, the chair also features a seat and backrest made of coffee waste and recycled plastic. The legs and frame have a black lacquered finish, while the curved seat and backrest feature an organic texture. To produce these eco friendly dining chairs, Mater uses a circular manufacturing system and a proprietary blend of recycled materials named Matek.
