An elegant take on wall clock design, the award-winning Carved clock puts a focus on the play between light and shadow. Designer Naoki Terada created the timepiece for renowned Japanese brand Lemnos. The wall clock features carved-out numbers with their top section seemingly cut off from the dial. Their depth gives the clock a three-dimensional look while also changing the appearance of the numbers depending on the light and viewing angle. Made of a mineral-based artificial wood, this clock is durable and crafted to last. It features a simple white finish, which means that it will look great anywhere, but especially on darker walls. This Carved wall clock measures 240 mm in diameter. A larger version of this design is also available. Winner of the Good Design Award 2010 Japan and the A’ Design Award & Competition 2018 / Silver, Italy.

Architect and designer Naoki Terada was born in 1967 in Osaka, Japan. After completing a bachelor degree in architecture at the Meiji University in Tokyo in 1989, he moved briefly to the UK.
