The STOFF Nagel story begins in Cologne in the 1960s, when Hans Nagel and architect Werner Stoff collaborated on a candle holder that would become a design icon. Inspired by an accidental handprint in the snow, Stoff translated the form into a three-legged, modular object—part sculpture, part table accessory. Owners could stack and combine the holders to create ever-changing constellations, making each piece as individual as the hands that arranged it

Long available only as vintage finds, the candle holders were relaunched by Danish company STOFF Copenhagen using Stoff’s original drawings. With the revival came new companions: vases, bowls, stands, and exclusive candles—all maintaining the same spirit of Scandinavian minimalism and playful freedom, Today, STOFF Nagel pieces are found worldwide, continuing to invite creativity at mantels, bedsides, and tables alike.
