Originally produced in Germany in the 1970s by Quist and designed by Werner Stoff for Hans Nagel, this candle holder adds a striking twist to the Nagel family. Its surface is deeply ridged, catching light and shadow in sharp contrast to the smoother STOFF Nagel editions.

Like the originals, the Quist holder is modular: each piece connects to another, allowing you to build upward, outward, or cluster them into sculptural formations. Used singly it has presence; multiplied, it becomes an installation that shifts with your imagination.

Available today in finishes such as brushed chrome, the Quist candle holder has been reissued by STOFF Copenhagen with respect to its 1970s origins. At just over 2.3″ tall (5.9 cm) and 4″ in diameter (10 cm), it’s compact in size yet expansive in possibility.
