Leading Japanese wooden furniture manufacturer Karimoku was established in 1940 as a woodworking shop in Kariya, the Aichi Prefecture. In 1964, the company established Karimoku Furniture, and started designing and making its own furniture products, selling them throughout Japan. In 2005, Karimoku made its international debut with exhibitions at Salone del Mobile and imm Cologne. Collaborating with award-winning designers, Karimoku produces timeless furniture with a blend of traditional and cutting-edge techniques. The company is also sustainability-focused, using eco-friendly materials and manufacturing processes to reduce its carbon footprint.
