Description
The Asteria Suspension Lamp by Foscarini is a contemporary LED chandelier designed by Alberto and Francesco Meda. It reworks the traditional multi-arm chandelier into a cleaner, lighter form, with curved aluminum arms, integrated LED strips, and a central downward spotlight.
Asteria has two light functions. The curved arms provide diffused ambient light, directed upward and to the sides through semi-transparent silicone screens. At the center, a recessed LED spotlight casts a focused beam downward, making the lamp especially useful above dining tables, seating areas, and larger gathering spaces.
The arms are made from liquid-coated extruded aluminum with a triangular section. Their curved shape gives the lamp movement and width, while the integrated LEDs keep the profile clean. The central cylinder connects the arms and houses the downward light source.
Available in three sizes, Asteria can be adapted to different interiors. Asteria 65 works well in smaller rooms or above compact tables. Asteria 105 suits dining rooms and living areas. Asteria 145 is the largest option, made for longer tables, open spaces, and rooms with more ceiling height.
The lamp comes in two finishes: Dark Red and Titanium. Dark Red gives the design a stronger color presence, while Titanium offers a more neutral metallic finish.
Asteria includes integrated warm LED lighting at 2700K with CRI >90. The lamp is dimmable, and the arm lighting and downward spotlight can be controlled separately when installed with compatible dual switching.
